Our Vision
By educating and assisting local healthcare professionals in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart disease our vision is to create self sustainable pediatric cardiac centers accessible to all.
Our Story
Hearts with Hope Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2005 by Dr Juan Carlos Alejos. Inspired by his father, a pediatrician who instilled in him the basic desire to care for children with congenital defects, especially heart disease, Dr Alejos strives to help those without resources care for themselves and seeks to educate care providers allowing them to "pay it forward" in their own communities. Dr Alejos considers himself to be blessed with dedicated volunteer healthcare and humanitarian professionals from around the globe that sacrifice time away from family and work commitments to travel with Hearts with Hope on their medical, dental and humanitarian endeavors. Through support, education, commitment and compassion the Hearts with Hope team members work fervently to further the foundation's mission, vision and goal.
